If you are looking for a waterfall experience within Navi Mumbai — Pandavkada is the only answer. Tucked behind Kharghar’s residential sectors, this waterfall sits at the edge of a forested hill with skyscrapers on one side and thick jungle on the other. It is one of those rare Navi Mumbai spots that genuinely surprises first-time visitors.
I have trekked all the way to the top of Pandavkada — standing above the waterfall, looking out over the entire Kharghar skyline. That view alone is worth the visit. But before you go, read this guide fully. Pandavkada is beautiful and it is also dangerous. Knowing what to expect will keep you safe.
Pandavkada Waterfall is located in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai — approximately 5 km from Kharghar railway station. The waterfall sits within the Pandavkada Hills forest area, a protected green zone surrounded by Kharghar’s residential sectors on one side and dense forest on the other.
The landmark you are looking for is the Raghavendra Swamy Temple and Gurudwara lane — the waterfall is clearly visible from this point and the entry path begins here.

For the adventurous: I have personally trekked to the top of Pandavkada hill — above the waterfall itself. From there you get a 360-degree view of the entire Kharghar skyline — towers on one side, forest on the other. It is one of the most unexpected views in Navi Mumbai. The contrast of concrete and jungle from that height is something you will not forget.

The View from the Top: If you trek to the summit above the waterfall, you get an unobstructed panoramic view of all of Kharghar. On clear monsoon mornings the combination of mist, green hills, and the city below is remarkable.

Pandavkada is genuinely dangerous during heavy monsoon. These are not generic warnings — they are specific to this location:
🚨 Do Not Enter the Pond The natural pond at the base of the waterfall looks inviting. Every monsoon, visitors wade or jump in. During heavy waterfall flow, the current is powerful and the depth unpredictable. Do not enter the pond. This is the most common mistake and the most dangerous one.
🚨 Do Not Visit During Heavy Rain When monsoon is at full strength, the entire Pandavkada area becomes dangerous — slippery rocks, rising water levels, and reduced visibility due to fog. Authorities put up notices. Respect them.
🚨 The Entire Area is Risky This is not a manicured tourist spot. There are no railings, no safety barriers, no lifeguards. You are in a natural forest setting. Stay on the path, watch your footing, and keep children close.
✅ Go Early Early morning visits are safest — better light, fewer crowds, and you avoid afternoon heat.
✅ Wear Proper Footwear Monsoon ground is slippery. Wear shoes with grip — not slippers or sandals.
✅ Go in a Group Avoid solo visits, especially on the upper trail.
Pandavkada Waterfall is one of Navi Mumbai’s best-kept monsoon experiences. It is free, accessible, and genuinely beautiful. The combination of forest, waterfall, and city skyline in one frame is something you will not find anywhere else in the region.
But it demands respect. Visit early, stay on the path, keep away from the pond, and never visit when heavy rain is falling.
If you want to go one step further — trek to the top of the hill(risky during peak monsoon). Standing above the waterfall looking out over Kharghar on a monsoon morning is an experience that will stay with you.
Go. But go carefully.
